After twenty years in the corporate world as a Facilities and Operations Manager, I decided it was time for a change—both for myself and my family. The fast-paced life of boardrooms and endless meetings no longer fit the vision I had for our future. I wanted my children to experience something different, something that would teach them the value of hard work, respect for nature, and the joy of living close to the land. So, we made a bold move and established a homestead, where animals roam, the sun shines, and laughter fills the air. Becoming a black soldier fly (BSF) larvae farmer has not only allowed me to create a sustainable lifestyle for my family but also opened up the opportunity to serve my community in a meaningful way. We grow everything that goes into our larvae feed ourselves, ensuring that the products we offer—whether it's animal feed or organic soil amendments—are of the highest quality. By doing so, we’ve insulated our operation from global disruptions, ensuring that you always receive the best, locally produced feed and fertilizers. This journey has brought us closer to nature and closer to our values. It’s a joy to watch my children grow up learning the rhythms of the earth, while also knowing that our efforts are helping others in the community to raise healthier animals and grow stronger crops.
